Stoyan Stoikov Rusev - Diado Blago

Born on 2 Feb 1865 in Zabrenovo. He studied in Bourgas and then in Sliven highschool. When he graduated he returned in Bourgas and started publishing small newspapers for kids. He also collected all sorts of folk stories about herous wizzards and princesses. Finally in 1889 he published a book called "Star". This was the first book for children that was published in Bourgas.

The same year he moved to Sofia where he started publishing all kinds of books and newspapers for kids. During his lifetime he had collected more than 1630 riddles and 115 fables.

He died on 16 Jan 1938 in Sofia.
