"Dolna Topchia" reserved area

It was marked as a reserved area in 1960 and it represented a 462,8 hectares of mainly longose woods situated in the lands of Elhovo town.

Here is the only left natural home of the Kolhidian pheasant in Europe. A big colony of egrets, gray, long-maned and little herons uses the bush of the reserve as a living place throughout the year.
