In Bulgaria it is mostly seen in the region of Ropotamo river, Strandja Maountain. Negative factors for it's survival are the tourist activity, the pasture of animals, the artificial expansion of forests and the collecting.

There are more than 60 types of different orchids in Bulgaria and most of them have been preserved since the adoption of the Washinghton charter - CITES.
